If you are a regular here at Bicycle Frenzy you will probably notice I have made some changes to the site to hopefully make things better for you to read and to encourage more interaction with you the readers.
Recent Comments section in the side bar
I added the recent comments section so everyone could easily see the conversations that are taking place though out the site. You can click on the comments in this section to take you to the discussion and to post your own comment.
You can also click the title of each article or the “No Comments” or the “# Comments” links to take you to the main page of that article that allows you to leave a comment as well as read the ones that are there.
Categories are now in the footer
I moved the categories section to the footer to allow more space in the sidebar for the recent comments section.
Removed the Bicycle Frenzy Shop section from the sidebar
I removed this image and link temporarily while I reformat the shop to match the site. I hadn’t reformatted it to match the new layout since switching to WordPress some months ago.
More Changes to Come Soon
I will be making a few more changes over the next few weeks as well. Here is some of what I have planned:
- 3 new sections in the footer
- New Bicycle Frenzy Shop Section
- Bicycling Resources Section
- How to Use BicycleFrenzy.com Section
- Remove Bicycle Advocacy Resources link from the Main Navigation Bar (I’m removing it from here because it will be in the new resources section in the footer)
- New Archive Page - This page will allow you to go back and find older articles by date, category, and search. So if you missed something or you just want to go back and see something again you can easily find it.
If you have any suggestions or ideas of how I can make the site easier for you, the readers, to use, please let me know. Either contact me via the contact page or leave a comment on this post.
I know how to use the site and get around because I created it. I want to be sure you can read it too and can easily navigate the site. So please let me know if you don’t like something or would like to see something else that I haven’t mentioned.
I would also be glad to explain RSS or E-Mail subscriptions if you have been wondering what that is all about.
My next post will be back on topic I promise

The new layout seems pretty well organized and straight forward. I like it!
On a different note, did the Sedalia area get hit hard with ice damage to trees? The trails at Binder Lake in Jefferson City have been severly impacted by downed trees. There’s currently only about 2 miles of clear trail (out of 12) which we opened up on Sunday. Hopefully Bothwell isn’t in the same condition.

Mark-
We didn’t get as much ice as you guys did. Any tree damage has been pretty minor really as far as I know
