Booze and Bikes are like Peas and Carrots

in Bicycle Entertainment, Product Review

jethro So I had a bicycles and beer epiphany over the weekend. They go together so well and there are so many products that help it fit even better. Post ride libations are great and Guinness is rocket fuel.

So here is a run down of some of the bikes and booze fusion products that are out there today.

So everyone get out there and ride and share some cold ones with friends. You should also share your favorite post ride “recovery” drink in the comments.

There’s nothing like replenishing all the calories you just burnt with a cold Guinness! :)

@Will - Thanks for the link. That’s a great jersey.

When pressed, clipless pedals also make a good bottle-opening device; I’ve found Time ATAC-type pedals to work the best, though Shimano-SPD style also get the job done.

Peas and carrots? uh uh…

But the combination of carbohydrates and protein in brewed yeasted beverages is supposed to be almost as good of a recovery drink as chocolate milk and Endurox R4!

Fusion products?
Front teeth! If the cap breaks them, come up with a good crash story!

@Dana…If you you can open a non-twistoff beer bottle with your teeth, you’re hard core. :-)

I did a mountain bike race last weekend and we had a cooler full of Guiness bottles and no opener. I used my clipless pedal and it worked like a charm.
