Changing things up

Well I’ve been wanting to do it for some time now and I’m finally ready to pull the trigger.  Over the next week or so I will be switching to a new layout and design here at BicycleFrenzy.com.

Patience is a virtue

So when things are all messed up and broken just give me a little time and I’ll get it taken care of.  I will be asking for reader assistance with making sure links are working and what not after the change is complete.

The new design is going to allow me to expand the site and do some things that just wouldn’t work out because of the current design.

Now is your chance…

Now while I’m in the middle of finalizing the general design, you can request features or changes to the site.  So what needs to be changed?  Is there something about the site that has been bugging you or something that would make the site easier to read?  Is there something missing that you think would be cool to add?  Now is your chance, leave your suggestion in a comment to this article.

I’m a bike commuter from Columbia MO. I’m an LCI and teach classes in conjunction with PedNet and Get About Columbia. Does the city of Sedalia promote cycling as a means of transportation? We are really seeing an increase in the number of people here interested in active transportation. This fall we had so many people signing up for our classes that we had to schedule extra sessions. Before the City got involved, we had trouble filling a few classes a year. Between high gas and lots of advertising, it’s starting to take off.

I just ran across your blog this week and have enjoyed the few posts I’ve had time to read.

Keep up the good work, you have a lot of great information here.

@Pam - Unfortunetly the city of Sedalia does not promote cycling at all really. At least not yet anyway. The Pearl River Bcycle Club and its members are working really hard to change that.

There is also a small number of people that hold posistions in the community that are als working to make Sedalia more bike friendly.

Sedalia currently only has 1 bike lane and it is part of the Katy trail and is all but useless for the majority of bicycle commuters in Sedalia. It is more of an on street guide to get people from the Katy Depot to the rest of the Katy trail as part of the trail has to go on city streets.

I am quite familier with Get Abut Columbia and PedNet as I spent a large portion of the last 2 years in Columbia. I am now in Saint Louis as of July.
