I received an e-mail from Carolyn Crooker from the Sedalia Convention and Visitors Bureau about this bicycle swap meet and antique bicycle show and parade. I figured it would be good to help spread the word. In keeping with my usual laziness here is the info just as she sent it to me.

BICYCLE SWAP MEET-BICYCLE CORRAL

Join us September 29th and 30th for the 2nd Annual Antique Bicycle show and Festivities in Central Missouri

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 29, 2007

Bring your best antique and classic bike to show and ride in the 1-mile parade in Cole Camp (20 minutes Southeast of Sedalia) Live entertainment, prizes, and two vintage bicycle giveaways will take place following the parade.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2007

Bring your bikes, trikes, motorbikes, and pedal cars on Sunday to display at Sedalia’s Antique bicycle show at The Katy Depot, 600 East Third Street, Sedalia, Missouri. Public voting will determine the winner of the “People’s Choice” trophy. Hatcher Cycle, experts in antique bicycles from Rockford, Minnesota, will be on hand throughout Sunday’s event to answer questions, point out interesting features of the various bikes, and swap stories about the bicycles of days gone by. At 2 p.m. on Sunday, local bicycle experts, will demonstrate repairing flats, adjusting brakes, adjusting gears, and how to lube a bike and clean bike chains.

Have parts or bikes to sell? Need missing parts? Participate in the swap meet and bike corral!

Swap Space $15, Bike Corral $2/bike

Open to the Public 9AM-3PM, Admission Free

Food and Drink Available

All the activities are sure to be a good time; we hope to see you here.

This would also be a great opportunity to ride into Sedalia on the Katy Trail if you live out in the surrounding areas.
