Travis had some additional info for those wanting to participate in the 1st Annual PRBC Katy Trail Experience so I’m going to go ahead and post it here just as it came from him.
Here is your friendly reminder that the early registration date is closing fast. For those who are riding end to end and the weekenders who are interested in a t-shirt your date is 3-31-07 at a $90 fee. Registration between 9-1-07 and 9-10-07 is a $100 fee and t-shirts will only be available as supplies last.Other reminders and suggestions:
** Please make sure your equipment is in good working order. There will be no bike tech available and your bike will be your responsibility. We won’t leave you behind, but you will have more fun if your riding your bike and not in the SAG truck.
** The sides of the trail have been mowed this time of year and those clippings are on the trail. This means there will be flat tires along the way. Have plenty of spare tubes to pack with you. You never know who will be open for these supplies along the trail. I plan on having 4 tubes and a patch kit.
** Please pack for any weather condition. We have a SAG truck and there is room for you gear. Riding in the rain in September can be chilly and your comfort over a 60 mile day could depend on you having the right gear. Extra clothes and shoes for the end of the day as well as a second set to ride in is a good idea.
** I have transportation arrangements from St. Charles back to Sedalia for 12 riders so that does not have to be your excuse for staying home.
